Seeds of Change Spell

I initially created this spell for a friend; but thought it was too potent not to share for others to do as well! With everything happening in the world- Coronavirus, police brutality and systemic racism, climate change, stupid, insulting shit our president is saying, et cetera -it's hard to try and balance your mental health with a desire to make a change.
I created this spell to help with just that.
Materials
Herbs:
Calendula- love for others and for self
Rosemary- prosperity and success
Cinnamon stick- protection and healing
Dragon's Blood- purpose and clear direction
Milk Thistle- release
Walnut- self-reliance
Wildflower seeds (optional)
Crystals:
Black onyx- absorbs negative energy and boosts inner strength
Citrine- self-reliance, creativity
Tools:
Blue candle- for patience, self-awareness, and removal of guilt
Brown candle- for grounding, endurance and most importantly, justice
Jar
Dirt
The Spell
Cast a circle. I also recommend leaving offerings for the God and the Goddess for a spell like this as well. Light the blue candle, to be placed on the left side of the jar; then light the brown candle to be placed on the right side of the jar.
Begin by pouring the dirt into the jar and remember the reason why you're doing this spell. Before doing anything else, we need to fertilize the soil. Place your hands (or at least a few fingers) in the dirt. Focus on the feeling of the dirt on your skin. Is it under your nails? Wiggle your fingers a bit and focus on the sensations. Imagine your fingers taking root into the soil, and your energy seeping into the dirt as well.
Once finished meditating on this, dig a small hole in the center of the jar and place the walnut in the hole. As you bury it say:
May I hold myself accountable.
May nothing feel insurmountable.
For I am strong as the roots of a tree
Providing protection and support to others around me.
Then take the stick of cinnamon and place it in the dirt above the walnut (leaving part of it sticking out). As you're burying it, imagine its protective energy circling the walnut and keeping a safe, watchful eye over the soil. Sprinkle the calendula, rosemary, and dragon's blood in a clockwise circle around the edges of the jar (on the inside of the jar). As you sprinkle each one, say aloud what each herb is for.

Place your hands over the top of the jar. Focus all of your energy regarding the change you wish to enact into the jar. After doing so, if you've decided to use wildflower seeds, you can plant the seeds at this time. And if not, you can push one of the milk thistles into the soil and say:
Soil be fertilized, ready to yield crop
A crop to change the whole lot
Bad apples to apples
Father to son
Plant a new seed to see a new sun.
Thank the energies that joined you and close the circle. Your jar is charged and ready for further use! Every time you take time to do anything to enact change, return to the jar
and plant another milk thistle. Whenever you’re planting the milk thistle, remember that this is
a sign of release- you’ve done what you can for the day and you are releasing the stress or
pressure to do more. You have released this energy into the universe to be multiplied and
returned. As you plant each one, be sure to focus on what you have done and the change you wish to see. If you ever feel like you haven’t done enough, return to the jar, place your hands in the dirt and feel the energy that you have planted. If you chose to plant wildflower seeds, be sure to keep the soil moist as the buds are growing.

DISCLAIMER: This is super important! As with any spell, and witchcraft in general, it is important you are putting in the footwork in addition to your spell. This spell is supposed to aid you in amplifying the energy you're already putting into change. This spell is not going to cause change on its own; be sure you're doing your part to keep yourself educated and amplify black voices.
